My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

If you are looking for a dog that truly interacts with you, let me introduce you to Thomas! He is the kind of dog that is going to greet you at the door with a toy in his mouth or maybe right at his feet so he is ready to give you some happy kisses. His face lights up too so if you are looking to be adored, as you should be, Thomas would like to put in the running to be your golden-eyed lover boy.

Breed and age are guesses in the rescue world but we believe Thomas is about 2 years old, he currently weighs 63 lbs and is possibly a retriever mix of some kind.

Now I get to tell you about how dreamy he is! You clearly have seen his face, its what pulled you in, so you don’t need me to tell you he practically glows!! He is soft, which is something you can’t avoid experiencing because he is a lover. I saw the least of the dog-lovers stop to love on him because of his eyes, they are inviting!

An ideal home for Thomas would at least one adoring person and although he is people friendly and inviting, he could easily and happily be your one and only. He is happy to entertain himself and loves being outside so a house with a yard would be best. The games of fetch and watching him happily play outside by himself have been my favorite moments with Thomas. As for fellow pets, Thomas is too excited for cats, When he met our resident cat his eagerness was not enjoyed by our cat. Whether he just wants to play a quick game of chase or share a toy, I doubt any cat wants to play the way he does so no feline-friends for Thomas. Kids are another one that Thomas is just a bit much for, between the way he plays and his size.We would love to see Thomas in a home with adults who understand his zealous approach at life

I think Thomas is one of the best boys who brings sunshine to every room! He is ready to find his forever home, pick out a new toy, and find his favorite sun-spot for napping when the spot next to you isn’t available. Adopt Thomas and clear your camera roll to capture all the adventures and those adoring eyes of his.

If you have any questions about Thomas or would like us to test him for a specific setting or detail, please be in touch! We can make most anything happen to ensure he is the correct fit for you and your life!

The stray and animal overpopulation in the Greater Houston area is one of the highest in the nation. Statistics show that there are over 1 million homeless animals in this region alone! Three Little Pitties Rescue is a nonprofit dog and cat rescue that partners with the community to make a difference. Our mission is to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and saving all breeds of dogs and cats from the streets or animal shelters that oftentimes have no choice but to euthanize animals for space. We prepare them for adoption by properly vetting and providing individualized care through our incredible behavior program that consists of socialization and leash training for all animals that enter our adoption program prior to matching them with loving families who will treasure them for the rest of their lives. They are rescue dogs and will require continued training efforts once adopted, but will be well on their way to being the best dogs that they can be!

Three Little Pitties Rescue will soon be celebrating our 5 year anniversary! Over the course of this time, we have been very fortunate for so much growth, allowing us to further connect with the community and save many lives. Through the combined efforts of all of our hardworking staff and volunteers, we have placed over 10,000 very lucky dogs and cats into amazing homes! By adopting from us, you save TWO lives! The pet you adopt, and you create an opportunity for another animal to be brought into our rescue program. Together, we can be heroes.
