My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

MAXINE is a beautiful senior gal who hasn't had it very easy. She was found at a local baseball field and brought to a shelter. Animal control knew MAXINE well, as this was the 4th time they had brought her in, except this time, no one went to pick her up. MAXINE was in rough shape but after some TLC and vet care, she is ready to find a family who would go to the ends of the earth for her!

MAXINE is loving and gets along with other dogs and adores kids. She loves being outdoors when the sun is shining. MAXINE will do anything to get some love from people, and especially head rubs. She is house-trained and walks great on a leash!

More about this rescue

A Lab for Life (ALL) provides a compassionate life-line to abandoned dogs that includes a safe haven, medical care by a licensed veterinarian, nutrition (food) and a fur-ever family through adoption. ALL promotes the humane treatment of animals in the community.

ALL was founded in July 2020 by a group of dog advocates in central Oklahoma and
Northeastern US after some had been volunteering with an out of state rescue for over 5 years. That experience solidified a local organization was needed. ALL formed to rescue as many stray, homeless and owner surrendered dogs as possible by partnering with many state-wide shelters and rescue operations. In addition to transferring homeless dogs from the shelters, fostering them in temporary homes and adopting them out, we also provide behavioral and medical resources to people who are considering surrendering their dog in an effort to keep the dog in their homes and out of the shelter/rescue system.
ALL operates under the 5 freedoms for animal welfare.
We are a brand new organization and welcome donations!
