My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Ava and Allie are one year old super sweet littermates. The Pyrenees mix sisters are spayed, heartworm negative, micro chipped, appropriately vaccinated and treated for parasites. Ava and Allie were adopted at 12-weeks old and returned as wonderful 50-pound adolescents. The gentle girls are housetrained, crate trained, get along with other animals and love people of all ages. Ava and Allie are smart and eager to please those who show them kindness. They are awesome young dogs available separately or as a pair. If you are interested in one or both pups, please fill out an application at harthumane.org.

The Hart County Humane Society receives no government funding, we rely on donations to provide our lifesaving programs. Donations can be mailed to Hart County Humane Society P.O. BOX 1062 Hartwell GA 30643 or online at harthumane.org. Please help us help the animals.

Additional adoption info

We screen applicants to adopt a pet with an application form, interview, and veterinarian reference. We want all of our pets to be adopted into homes where they are with the family inside at night and during family time. Our adoption fee is $145 for dogs and $65 for cats. All animals offered for adoption have been spayed or neutered, and are up to date on vaccinations and parasite preventives. Cats have been tested for FIV, feline leukemia and heartworms. Dogs been tested for heartworms and treated if positive. All animals have had a microchip implanted. Adopters are required to sign an adoption agreement which includes a commitment to return the animal to the Hart County Humane Society at any time in the life of the animal if the adopter is unable or unwilling to keep and care for the animal, and not to give or sell the animal to anyone else.
