Meet Dewey! Dewey is probably between 10 months and a year old and is 7 pounds of pure snuggly sweetness! Dewey is definitely a Chihuahua mix of sorts, but we think he looks a little like a dapple head Chihuahua. Dewey is the perfect purse or lap dog for any home. He does well with other dogs, loves people of all ages and size and has truly never met a stranger. Dewey is learning that it is okay to be left in a crate by himself sometimes, but he will ask you to let him back out the first few minutes he is crated. He is learning to walk well on a leash and is doing great but could use a bit more practice with that, and still has an accident in the house every so often. Don't miss you chance to get the perfect cuddle buddy, apply ASAP as this sweet guy is sure to go quick!
Interested in becoming a forever home for Dewey Medford? Fill out our online adoption application: http://www.friendswithfourpaws.org/adoption-form.html This is the first step in our process, and we don't go any further without an application.

We put a lot of time and energy into processing our adoptions to find our babies the best fit home for them and you. Please do not submit an application if you are not serious about adopting Dewey Medford.
We are so excited to work with you to find you a new forever friend, and Dewey Medford the perfect forever home, and appreciate you working with us.
Our adoption fee is $525. This includes their spay/neuter surgery, full (age appropriate) vaccinations, microchip insertion and registration, deworming, heartworm testing and prevention, flea and tick prevention and travel expenses.
All of our dogs are rescued from local shelters and the general public. Each dog is then placed in a foster home where he/she is kept for quarantine, to ensure if the dog gets sick it can receive proper treatment. We have foster homes in the NJ/NY area waiting to receive their fosters. Once an animal has received an application or there's an adopter interested, we make arrangements for transport. If a dog is already in foster care in NYC/NJ, an adopter will be put in touch with the foster home AFTER an application is being processed.
Thank you in advance for your patience with our process and for making adoption YOUR option!
