My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

NOT FOR ADOPTION YET!!

One day, Tillman (aka, Tilly), began displaying worrisome symptoms that no one at the shelter could fully grasp – his everyday actions took on an obsessive nature, and he became crestfallen, tortured by something unseen. Tilly had scabs, no fur in areas, aggressive skin issues.

Tilly was soon diagnosed with hyperesthesia - a condition unknown to many but a harsh reality for him. It caused him to descend into compulsive grooming and self-mutilation - damaging his beautiful coat and scarring his skin. At the same time, his unsteady gait and seizure-like symptoms left him frightened and confused. His once sparkling personality was rapidly replaced by suffering and incapacitation.

Tillman’s battle against hyperesthesia is ongoing, but he is far from defeated. He has shown unwavering strength despite the heart-wrenching reality he is facing. You can support Tilly on his road to recovery and aid future rescues by making a donation. Please consider digging deep into your hearts today for Tilly and his fellow animal friends in need at Newnan-Coweta Humane Society. Your contribution can create an enormous difference in these innocent lives!

More about this rescue

The Newnan-Coweta Humane Society has a dedication and passion to rescue shelter pets located at local kill shelters. Those rescued pets are vetted and vaccinated then placed in our foster care program where they are socialized with our own pets, taught basic manners (dogs/puppies), start crate-training method (dogs/puppies)and in short, get them ready for their forever home. They stay in our foster care system until their forever homes are found. The volunteers of NCHS are dedicated to rescuing homeless pets because there are so many pets in kill shelters that are wonderful, loving pets. They are euthanized simply because they do not have homes.
