My name is Poppy!

This beautiful girl is lucky to be alive! A few of our volunteers happened to be in the right place at the right time, when they witnessed a man hitting and kicking this helpless kitty. Our volunteers sprang into action and risked their own lives to confront the man and were safely able to rescue the cat! As soon as our volunteer picked up the kitty, she knew right away that the cat was extremely pregnant! Our volunteer pet the cat the entire way home, and the kitty rolled and rolled as if to say 'thank you'. We are indeed very thankful that this kitty, that we named Poppy, will now have a chance at a better life. Poppy has been tested negative for FELV/FIV and will be spayed, vaccinated and microchipped as soon as her kittens have been weaned. (She is too far along to spay at this point, as the kittens could be born any day now!) We believe that Poppy is about 2 years old. Once her kittens are weaned, we will be looking for a forever home for her, where she will be safe and secure. Please keep Poppy in mind if you or someone you know is interested in adopting.
