Coco was rescued by my parents when she was a puppy. She just turned 5 in February. She is spayed and up to date on everything. My dad passed away last summer and my mother, who is 80, just can’t manage a dog. Nobody in my family is in a position to take her. She has always been the only dog in the house, and is currently at my house and does not get along with one of my dogs. Nobody has gotten hurt, but there has been barking and lunging so we keep her crated or on a leash. She has been great with any other dogs and our 3 and 5 year old grandchildren. She loves to snuggle and go for walks. She will be perfect as an only dog in a fenced yard where she can run around or with someone who likes to walk. She learns quickly. She had bladder stones as a puppy, and surgery for them, so she has been on a special urinary food. An 18 lb bag is about $100, but typically lasts at least 8 weeks. She saw our vet last week and he said that we could stop that food if we wanted.
