My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi! I'm Ali!  I was adopted as a kitten but sadly was returned to GMS because my person passed away. I was previously adopted with my brother Pierre but we talked about it and we agreed we'll both be happier if we go our separate ways.

I’m a very pretty and very sweet kitty, or as my foster human says, a total sweetheart. I was nervous when I first arrived in my foster home but even though I was scared, I couldn’t say no to pets. I was even making lots of biscuits while purring loudly from the comfort of my kitty cave. Now that I’m feeling more comfortable, I’m coming out from my safe place to explore and say “hi”.

I also find comfort in food, but in a cute and healthy way. When I receive pets and am happy and purring, I’ll go eat a few bites of food and my foster human thinks it’s so endearing. Now let’s talk about Churu treats. Wow!! Where have they been all of my life? I’ll happily hop up onto your lap and love you forever for a Churu!

I love receiving scritches on my face and I’ve mastered the elevator butt. I rub myself on furniture and my humans while purring when I’m a happy girl. Something else that makes me happy is being all warm and cozy. I’ve already found the purrfect spot next to the heater and my foster humans even put a kitty heating pad on my bed… squee! When things quiet down I hop up to the top of my tree and observe my kingdom from up high.

I’ve been slowly opening up to playtime and the wand toy has peaked my interest but my need to play isn’t what it used to be. Pets, food, and warm cozy spots are more appealing to me these days but I do have a bit of a playful side that comes out now and then.

I’m looking for a quieter home with a patient family who understands it will take me time to fully open up. I will be happiest as the only kitty in my forever home but am open to living with another kitty as long as the kitty is mellow and kind. I have so much love to share and I can’t wait to meet my new family and settle into my forever home!

More about this rescue

Every day adult and senior cats with treatable medical and behavioral conditions are euthanized. GIVE ME SHELTER's goal is to rescue these cats from certain death and place them into loving permanent homes.
GMS is a registered 501(c)3 organization and is dedicated to helping stop the overpopulation of unwanted and abandoned cats. We are a small group of dedicated volunteers who are committed to bettering the life of adult cats who no longer have a home to call their own. Every time you adopt from us, you allow us to save another cat that would have otherwise died. We receive new cats into our system almost every week. Our website is constantly being updated, so please check back often!
