My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Mermaid's basic bio is below, but we maintain more detailed information about each of our animals on our website, which is also always up to date with animals removed immediately once they are adopted. Please visit Mermaid's page on our site (https://www.muddypawsrescue.org/adoptable?dog=007276) to learn even more about Mermaid!

Additionally, please note that the breed listed for Mermaid is just our best guess based on the dog's physical features. We cannot make any guarantees about the accuracy of our guesses.

First off, thank you for looking past my cherry eye to read more about me! It's all anyone talks about when they see me, and it makes me very self-conscious 🫣. My foster mama tells me it's what's inside that counts, but so far, it doesn't seem that way 😢. Muddy Paws already had one of my cherry eyes repaired, and they're even going to repair the other one for my future person! For FREE!

Ok, so now that THAT's out of the way, here's more about me. I'm a puppy, but I've definitely got some kind of lazy large breed in me because my foster mama says I play hard and then I sleep hard. I'm also past the worst puppy stages, and I'm 110% housebroken! I sleep in my crate, and I'm the best girl in there even during the day once I've had my walkies. I loooooove to walk, and I almost always stay right next to my person. My foster mama told me not to tell anyone, so shhhh 🤫, but she said I'm a better walker than pretty much any of her other foster dogs-and even her forever dogs! The thing I love more than anything right now is this magic thing called a HOSE. We have one in our little backyard, and I love running and leaping to chase the water that it sprays! It also makes my foster mama laugh and I love doing that 😍.

I have so many other good qualities, and I'd love to tell you all about them...maybe over a bully stick and a big bowl of water? More than anything, I just want to be part of your world (see what I did there? 🧜‍♀️🤭). I hope to meet you soon!
