My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Courtesy Post: Chivito Needs a Loving Home **** THIS DOG IS NOT AT THE SHELTER ******

Meet Chivito, a charming 3.5-year-old unaltered male Patterdale Terrier in search of his forever home. Despite his masculine name, Chivito is a sweetheart who enjoys the comforts of indoor living. We received him from a family member with hopes of providing him the attention he deserves, but regrettably, we find ourselves unable to meet his needs adequately.

Chivito is a friendly and sociable companion once he gets to know you. He is fully potty trained, making him an ideal housemate. Upon encountering new faces, he may express his excitement with a bark or two, but rest assured, he quickly warms up and becomes your loyal friend.

If you're ready to open your heart and home to Chivito, please reach out to us at vodzkriin@gmail.com. Remember, Chivito is not at a shelter; he's eagerly waiting to bring joy into your life. Let's give this lovable pup the loving family he deserves!

All animals are up-to-date on vaccinations (including rabies if over 4 months old), microchipped, and spayed or neutered. All dogs have been been vaccinated with DHPP and Bordatella (kennel cough) and heartworm tested negative (if over 6 months).    All cats have been vaccinated with FVRCP and current on flea control. Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

*The shelter is currently open for adoptions by appointment only. Please email us at adoptycas@gmail.com if you are interested in adopting.
For other shelter services, please call us at (530) 668-5287*

To adopt you must have a photo ID and proof of your current address. If not on your ID then bring in a bill with your name and your current address. If you rent you must provide a lease clearly stating the pet policy or provide a name and phone number for your landlord so that we may confirm the pet policy. If you own your home you may provide a mortgage statement or property tax bill for proof.

You must be 18 years or older to adopt.

If you wish to adopt a dog and have other dog(s) at home, please bring them with you to the shelter so that they may meet. Even if your dog is wonderful with other dogs, many of the dogs at the shelter have come in as strays so we have no history on them and need to be sure they get along with your pet(s).

If you have any other questions, please go to www.yolocountysheriff.com or call the shelter for more information.
