Looking for a new fur-iend for life? Look no further than Maxwell! This happy little guy is friendly, affectionate, playful, curious, funny, and loves treats (who doesn't?!), and he gets along with other dogs, too! Maxwell came to our shelter after he followed a child walking home. We believe he is about 1-2 years old. There's nothing not to love about this young'un. He loves to make new friends, human and canine alike, and his funny antics are sure to keep you entertained. If you're looking for a fun, furry addition to your family, come meet Maxwell today! He's sure to steal your heart and make you smile. Maxwell can go to a home with children 8 years old and older who have experience with dogs.

Appts to meet dogs can made to suit your schedule, please email/call for an appt. We do prefer to be contacted by email for adoption inquiries at Adopt@savingpawsct.org. You must be 21 years of age to adopt with valid ID. There is a short application for adoption, however if you do not own your home, or you own a condo, we must speak with your landlord or housing association giving permission to dogs/cats. Bully breed specific permission is required if you rent or own a condo. If you own your home, proof of home ownership is required. If there are other pets in the home they must be licensed (if a dog) and up to date on vaccinations. If there is another dog in the home a dog interaction must be done at the shelter before adoption, to ensure the safety and well being of all pets. All children in the home need to be declared and brought down to meet the animal.

An approved application does not guarantee an adoption. We do not hold animals for meet and greet appointments.
ALL ANIMALS ARE SPAYED AND NEUTERED BEFORE THEY GO HOME.
