My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Duke and Duchess, the inseparable pair who have faced life's challenges together. 🐾Duke - The Gentle GiantDuke, a magnificent Maine Coon mix, possesses an imposing presence softened by his gentle nature. Despite his size, he's a true sweetheart who craves affection and companionship. His world has been turned upside down by the illness of his loving owner, leaving him longing for stability and the warmth of a caring home.Duchess - The Graceful CompanionDuchess, equally large and equally loving, exudes elegance in every movement. Yet beneath her regal exterior lies a heart that aches for the comfort of familiarity and the reassurance of a loving touch. The uncertainty of their future weighs heavily on her, casting a shadow over what was once a blissful existence.A Tale of Unwavering FriendshipTheir journey together began in the shelter, where they found solace in each other's company. From that moment on, they became inseparable, their bond growing stronger with each passing day. Now, as their owner's health deteriorates, Duke and Duchess face an uncertain future, their once bright world dimmed by the shadows of illness and loss.Yearning for a HomeSeparated from the one who cared for them, Duke and Duchess long for a new beginning, a fresh start where they can once again experience the joys of love and companionship. Whether together or apart, they hold onto hope, their hearts filled with the belief that somewhere out there, a kind soul will open their home and their heart to these deserving felines. 🏡💔

More about this rescue

Perfect Peaches Cats Rescue (Formerly know as Georgia Humane Society Cats), based in Douglas County Georgia. is a fully volunteer, 501c3 nonprofit that rescues Georgia's abused, neglected and unwanted cats and kittens from local animal shelters, the majority of them from Death Row.

Since 2015, GHS (now PPCR) RESCUED and ADOPTED OUT OVER 5,000 kitties that faced euthanasia. Last year alone, we adopted out over FIVE HUNDRED EIGHTY cats with the help of PetSmart Charities and relocated/rehabilitated many feral and special needs cats & kittens.
