This stunning GSD is Hughes! He arrived at the shelter as a lost boy on 3/30, and no one has come to reclaim him. Hughes is not a fan of the shelter and he'd really like to find a new, loving home quickly! The shelter environment with all the loud noises and strange smells is confusing to him. The volunteers discovered that Hughes knows several commands including sit and lay down. It appears as though Hughes had a loving home at one point; his fur is clean and very soft. Hughes is approximately 5 years old, and he weighs 65 lbs. He is UTD on vaccines, neutered and tested negative for heartworms; he will be microchipped upon adoption. Hughes is waiting in run 26; his ID # is 655547.

Cobb County Animal Services was established in 1971. As part of Cobb's Department of Public Safety, we serve the entire county, protecting the residents and animals of Cobb.
The mission of the Cobb County Animal Services Unit is to enforce state laws and county ordinances pertaining to animal control and management; educate the community on responsible pet ownership and wildlife care and provide housing and care for homeless animals, while coordinating their adoptions when possible and humane euthanization when adoptions are not possible.
