My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

**This bunny has her first vaccine for RHDV*

**Opal is one of our featured adoptables so her adoption fee is sponsored!**

Breed: Jersey Woolley
Size: About 3-4 lbs
DOB: About one year old as of January 2023
Reason in rescue: Opal came in with a group of other buns from a shelter that was full and unfortunately wasn’t spaying the females they adopted out, so we took a couple here.
Personality: Opal is such a sweet, good girl and has been through a lot since she got to us! When she first arrived we noticed she had a bit of an irritated rear end. We thought it was possibly syphilis or a prolapse so we were treating for those but then we took her to our specialist vet and he diagnosed her with anal papillomas. We got them removed and she has been doing so much better and it is clearing up very well. We have her on vet supervision and there is a small chance the papillomas return but they are easy to get removed for any future adopter. Opal has been an absolute saint through it all and is super sweet and doesn’t mind being petted and handled throughout all of it. She’s very good with her litter box.
Friends: She is a good candidate to be bonded to a neutered male.
Requirements: Must be adopted as an indoor animal, with an as large as possible plastic bottomed cage or puppy pen (minimum 4' x 2' for a single, 4 x 4 for a pair). Adoption process: An adoption application must be filled out (http://www.judgespark.org/adoption-application.html), and approved by us. Then we will arrange a meeting time to see the animal of interest. A home visit is required prior to adoption (but can be waived if pictures or video are supplied of where the bunny will be living). Suggested adoption donation is $70 which includes her spay and microchip. Adoption fee will change to $100 when she gets her second vaccine on 4/9
