*In order to alleviate the need to bring an animal into the shelter environment, The Anti-Cruelty Society has the Home-to-Home Shelter Bypass service to help people find new accommodations for their pets privately. These animals are not located in any of the Society's physical locations. If you are interested in adopting this animal, please do NOT click the Adopt Me button and instead reach out to the current owner directly via the email provided in the profile. As this is a Home-to-Home animal you are not required to fill out an Anti-Cruelty Society adoption application form.***
Caqui, is an incredible, hilarious & magical adult cat who loves big. I adopted her at 2 yrs old and she has been my most beloved companion since. Caqui has lived with both cats and dogs, and has done great with both. With dogs she is often shy at first and quickly settles in. Once settled in, she enjoys being in the same room and even the same bed as the dog. With cats, it has taken her longer to adjust but she was able to settle in as well. She didn't enjoy her cat siblings' kitten energy, but liked being around him when he was calm. She has not been around children.
She is independent but will come to you for midday naps or nighttime snuggles. She has lived as both an indoor only and indoor/outdoor cat. She loves to roll in sunbeams, play and have her booty scratched. She is very sweet, chill and resilient. She is spayed and microchipped. Attached is her recent rabies vaccine and her microchip number is: 981020017365954 (company is 24 Petwatch).
Caqui takes liquid medicine orally 2x a day for hypothyroidism, which works great and as a result she has no symptoms. Other than that, Caqui has a clean bill of health. Caqui has no dietary restrictions. She is housebroken and uses the litter box with ease.
The owner's reason for putting the animal up for adoption: I am moving to Brasil to be near family and am unable to bring Caqui. Sadly, I have no friends or family in the United States that can take her in and I desperately want to keep her out of the shelter system. She is such a special cat and worthy of the best forever home.
