My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Phineas, the epitome of feline charm and affection! This sleek black cat is more than just a pretty face-he's a social butterfly with a heart of gold. Phineas is the type of cat who lights up the room with his playful antics and infectious purr, winning over hearts wherever he goes.

With a natural affinity for making friends, Phineas is great with other cats and even enjoys the company of dogs. His social nature knows no bounds, and he's always eager to greet new friends with a gentle head bump or a friendly paw tap.

But it's not just his outgoing personality that sets Phineas apart-it's his unwavering affection for those around him. Whether he's curled up in your lap for a cozy snuggle session or chasing after a feather toy with unbridled enthusiasm, Phineas radiates love and warmth in everything he does.

Despite his boundless affection, Phineas does have a condition called spastic entropion, which affects his eyes and will require life-long management with eye meds from his adopter. HIs vision is not impaired.

With the love and support of his future family, Phineas is sure to thrive and continue spreading joy wherever he goes. So if you're looking for a furry friend who will shower you with love and laughter, look no further than Phineas-he's ready to steal your heart and become the purrfect companion for life.

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

HSNMB does not hold animals and all adoptions are done on a first-come, first-served basis in person at the shelter. Once the adoption is completed and the fee is paid, you must take the animal with you at that time.

Please be sure to bring a photo ID and cash or a credit card for the adoption fee. The primary caregiver is required to be present to go through the adoption process. Any children 5 and under and, in some cases, any existing dogs living in the home will be required to be present and meet the animal prior to adopting. Meet and greets are not required for all animals, but may be deemed necessary by HSNMB staff for specific pets.

Kittens (under 6 months of age): $100
Dogs (over 6 months of age): $110
