Lady Sandringham "Sandi" ended up in a shelter in Central CA, not in the best of shape. Initially she was very wary of people, rightfully so, as she was fending for herself trying to survive living in various fields and farmland.
Fast forward a couple of months… while in a loving foster home, Sandi has received medical care, put on some weight, and blossomed into a big, playful puppy. She is great with other dogs and will play for hours if you let her. Sandi can be inquisitive, enjoys life and likes to figure things out. She is enthusiastic as well as sweet. She carries around her “baby” (stuffed animal) and wants to make sure you see it. She does bark to alert you to something new but will stop when you let her know that all is well.
Sandi is 1-2 years old, has super soft fur, is housebroken, up to date on vaccinations, spayed, and had gastropexy. She knows basic commands and is learning how to walk on a leash without pulling (work in progress) and staying by your side. She would not do well as an only dog and would really benefit from having a doggy sibling.
If you’d like to adopt Sandi, she is currently being fostered in Oakdale, California. Please fill out an adoption application at: www.sunnysaints.org/adoption-application

More about this rescue
We are a group of volunteers with several combined years experience in Saint Bernard rescue. We are determined to help rescue and rehome Saint Bernards who, through no fault of their own, have found themselves without a home and family to call their own. We vow to treat all the dogs we encouter with dignity and compassion, placing all dogs into foster homes and never kennels while awaiting their forever homes. In our rescue, "Nice Matters", so inquiries and adoptions will be a friendly encounter for all. Our goal is to find the perfect companion for the adopter to add to their family.
