My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi! My name is Jack and I’m a hero. Just last week I saved my mother’s life after she suffered a major stroke and was unable to get help. After my father passed away, I made sure my mother was kept in good company. My job has always been to alert her when people and/or vehicles approach our home and to sit with her for hours as she knits, reads, does puzzles, or watch TV; Murder She Wrote is my favorite! We loved receiving visitors, but I always made sure she approved of them before I let my guard down. I’m a great dog.
While I might be old, I’m a rock solid Jack Russell Terrier. I’ve been well cared for my whole life and require no medication to perform my duties. I am up to date on all my shots. I desperately need to care for a new best friend so I don’t die of a broken heart. Did I mention I’m really good for thriving seniors. I’m a hero, a good boy, a great dog, and perfect best friend to a senior thriver who wants to maintain their independence.
