My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Do you believe in second chances?  Awesome Possum (the cat) is hoping so, because he would love to find a new home!  Possum was spotted by a teacher, while he was drinking from a frozen fountain at Walnut Hills High School in January 2024.  He looked scraggly and thin (and kind of like a possum!), so a local rescuer stepped up and brought him to safety, where he was found to be friendly!  He began meowing, seeking out pets, and playing with toys, and even let his rescuer give him a bath!

Possum loves food (a lot!), being brushed, pet, catnip toys, making biscuits, and sitting in a cat condo looking outside.

Possum would do best as an only cat, as he much prefers humans to cats! He is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines.  Born around spring of 2019. Adoption fee $60

More about this rescue

Purrfect Friends Cat Rescue is an all-volunteer, non-profit group working to end the plight and suffering of unwanted cats and kittens in the greater Cincinnati area. We do this by educating the general public about the importance of spaying or neutering their pets to lessen the drastic over-population of cats; we provide foster homes to cats and kittens waiting for adoption, and provide information and guidance to people working to help the feral cat population through TNR (trap, neuter and release) efforts.

Meet the cats every Saturday at our adoption events (details listed below), and you can see the cats on Petfinders and 1800save-a-pet in the hopes of finding good homes for them.
