This is what Nelly`s foster family had to say about her: ` Sweet Nelly came to us as a nervous girl (i.e. Nervous Nelly) but has quickly blossomed into a sweet, trusting, and fun little lady. Nelly loves chewing bones, getting all of the belly rubs (she`s a great cuddle buddy), and especially loves playing with other animals (dogs and cats!!). She truly gains such a confidence around other animals and loves making new 4 legged friends. To top it all off she is as smart as she is cute. She has picked up many commands during her short time in foster so far and we know she will continue to gain even more skills. Nelly is such a great dog and easy to love - she will undoubtedly make the perfect addition to any family!`
All adoptions come with 30-days of support from our staff to help make sure the transition from the shelter to your home goes as smoothly as possible.
All of our available animals and the adoption application can be found here: https://indy.gov/activity/adopt-a-pet. Once you have submitted your application, an adoption counselor will forward your information to the foster parent who will reach out to you for an appointment.
