**Meet Marsha this Saturday, April 27th from 11 to 1:00 at Dublin Petsmart West, 6960 Amador Plaza Rd.**
This petite pretty girl weighs in at seven pounds and is the color of a lightly toasted marshmallow. Meet Marsha the chihuahua mix. This 1 to 2 year old is friendly with people and other dogs of all sizes. She would thrive as a second dog in a family. Marsha loves to go for walks, enjoys snuggling near you and gives kisses and takes belly rubs. She rarely barks, is not destructive, and rides quietly and calmly in the car.
If you are looking for a ready-made pair of dogs, Marsha would be excellent with Millie Rose who was rescued with her and may be her mom (duo of smooth haired and long haired blonds). She also would pair well with Matte who was rescued with her and may be her sister (duo of blond and black with markings). Each of our animals has contact information in the description - either referencing the phone number of the foster volunteer who is fostering the animal or East County Animal Shelter contact information if a shelter animal.

We attempt to forward emails sent to contact@tvar.org to the foster though it is not necessarily before the animal is adopted. Also, volunteers who monitor this email do not know the animals whereas the fosters do!
If a dog or puppy is in foster with TVAR, please fill out an adoption application (available here: https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/TVAR/Dog). We consider each application and pick the best one for the animal in question. In general, we do not do out of area adoptions. Kittens do not need applications completed - just contact the foster!
If an animal is at ECAS, they have their own adoption process. Please go to ECAS (they are open daily 11:30am to 5:30pm except holidays) to meet the animal and learn about ECAS's adoption process.
All TVAR animals are spayed/neutered, up-to-date on vaccines, treated for worms and fleas, and microchipped. Felines are FIV/FeLV tested. Many of our pets also come with a "packed bag" that can include a variety of goodies like bedding, food, toys, leashes, and even private training sessions with our professional trainers. Adoption fees vary by species. Our fee range is $120-$350. The foster volunteer can provide specifics for the animals in their care.

Tri-Valley Animal Rescue (TVAR) was founded in 1992 and is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization serving the East Bay (San Francisco Bay Area). We primarily place shelter animals in foster care of TVAR volunteers while trying to find them permanent homes. Although we do not have a facility of our own, we help over 1000 animals find forever homes yearly through the hard work and dedication of our East County Animal Shelter shelter volunteers who socialize shelter animals daily and assist the public in selecting a pet to adopt.
