My name is Jonah!

Who is that big ol’ handsome man, you ask?? This is none other than the ever amazing Jonah, aka Papa!! 

Jonah came to us from a small rural shelter where he had come in as a stray with a 3-4 month old puppy who we truly believe was his daughter. We really had absolutely no room for another large dog and definitely no room for a “tween” but shelter volunteers kept telling us how heartbreaking it was to watch these two mourn being separated and try everything they could to get into each other’s kennels! We just knew we needed to rescue them so they could be reunited and so Jonah and Josie joined our RMG family. 

Once we met this duo in person, the first thing we noticed was her very distended belly. This poor girl was absolutely full of parasites! We started her on a deworming regimen right away but to our devastation we were too late and Josie could not overcome the heavy toll the parasites had taken. 

Jonah was definitely out of sorts for several days after losing Josie, but he’s now ready to find his forever home. This 2ish yr old lab mix tips the scales at 70 lbs but he’s as gentle and loving as they come! He’s great with other dogs and absolutely loves people! He really is just a giant lover boy!
