My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Okie is a fun and loving dog. He loves to play fetch. In fact, if he could play fetch all day long, he surely would. Okie is house and crate trained and loves getting petted and lounging around on dog beds. He also loves chewing on his Benebone, ropes, and soft toys. He is excellent at not putting things in his mouth that don't belong to him, unless we are talking food. He is very good at learning commands when taught with treats. He would do well in a home where everyone is aged 10-12 and up because he treats smaller kids as part of his pack and thinks he is the boss. When Okie was a puppy, a large reactive dog ran up to him and barked aggressively. I think this caused him to be fearful of other dogs. Since that day he reacts to dogs based on how they approach him, where calm = calm and reactive = reactive. He sheds like crazy and will require daily brushing to keep the shedding in check.
