My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi! My name is Atticus! I am a handsome 1-year-old fawn boy with a natural monkey tail! My life prior to coming to the rescue is a mystery, but I’m ready to move forward and find my forever home! I’m a super sweet and mellow boy! I love to be a couch potato but have my occasional moments of play with the other large dog in my foster home. I’m a very social guy with people and animals! I get excited when meeting new people and will jump, but my foster family is teaching me that’s not the proper way to say hello. I am quiet and do not chew on things. If given the opportunity, I will curiously counter surf but am learning that is not proper home manners. I am house trained and crate trained! I live with two kids in my foster home (ages 4 and 6 years) and I let them climb on me and we get along great! There is a cat and three dogs (2 small and 1 large) in my home and I get along well with all of them! I can sometimes be interested in the cat (in a friendly way) but once redirected by the humans, I leave the cat alone. Otherwise, I ignore it or try to give it kisses. I love to play and wrestle with the large male dog in my home and do fine with the smaller dogs. I have learned how to climb the chain link fence in the backyard so a tall wood fence and supervision outside is a must in my new home. At night I sleep on the dog bed next to the human's bed and am quiet all night. My foster mom says I am “more mellow than most boxers my age and am not bouncy”. If you think I would make a great addition to your family, contact the rescue today and give them my name because I am waiting to meet you!
