My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Please check here for updated adoption hours.

What my friends at ACC say about me:

I have potential behavior challenges that staff will address with you when you meet me.

The staff think I would do best in a home where there are no other cats or dogs.

I would do best in a home without very tiny humans, although I could be open to older human children once I meet them.

Cheek and chin scratches make me so happy!

I am finding the shelter a little overwhelming, but when it's just you and me and some peace and quiet you'll see what a love bug I am.

I am looking for a home with a patient person.

I will flourish in a calm environment and a low-traffic home.

I would appreciate slow introductions to new people and places to help me feel safe.

A volunteer writes: Emma is an exquisitely well mannered kitty who doesn't seem to mind making the first move when it comes to making new friends. Each time I visit with Emma, she elegantly stretches herself out of her nap and comes to the front to say hello. This little sunshine kitty sits happily for nuzzles and neck scritches. Emma has a gentle heart and genuinely seeks to make connections with people. She may get a tiny bit distracted with all the hustle and bustle of the Care Center, but I can tell she's trying her best to focus on her visitors. Peeking around before leaning her fluffy cheeks into my hands, she really loves pets and simply shines when given the opportunity. When I last visited with Emma, we shared some cuddles before play time. I love playing with Emma because she joyfully leaps after her pipe cleaner feather and plays with a kitten's enthusiasm and her very own signature grace. She's really hoping to meet her forever family soon, so come and visit her today!
