What is Rehome?
If you see pets listed by a private owner, it means that they’re adoptable through Adopt a Pet’s Rehome program – the safe and reliable way to find a loving new home for your pet.
My mother-in-law purchased Seamus from a breeder. She had Seamus for 4 1/2 years & at the age of 75, he was too much for her. Seamus’s noise level, activity needs and interaction with other dogs were reasons for her giving him to us. I grew up with dogs, owners no one myself and my wife did not. We kept him very active letting him run & play, untethered, in our backyard with a wooden privacy fence all around. Our neighbors are very active in their yard with their kids & dogs. Seamus gets agitated at the fence whenever the neighbors are out, damaging a section of their new cedar fence. He can go from a dead rest to a barking fit quickly and it’s very startling to all. He is sensitive to storms, fireworks and foot traffic outside our house. He can have moments of being very fun, snuggly and playful. We have had him for 2 years & have 3 teenage kids. The quick mood transition at times is very unsettling. We have tried behavior modification to no avail.
