My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Domino is the James Bond of cats - ruggedly handsome; cool, calm, & collected; bold and brave; and loves to frolic and have his fun. And most of all, everybody loves/wants him: hoomans, dogs and other felines, alike. Domino appreciates the finer things in life, like a soft bed to curl up on and some smooth wet food. Not to mention he looks great in a tux!

Domino was a stray fed between two neighbors in a section of Salem. He lived under a house in the crawlspace for shelter. He wanted so much to be an inside cat. Thankfully, his wish came true finally on February 27 when Cat Saves took him into rescue.

Domino enthusiastically enjoys the company of his foster brothers, he is usually the first one to initiate a game of chase with the cat, or a snuggly nap with one of the dogs. A home with a cat-savvy dog or two would be a dream come true for Domino, as he especially likes dogs, including curling up with them at night on his foster parents' bed.

Domino adjusted extremely quickly to being a housecat, within 48 hours he stopped hiding like former strays often do and follows his foster parents from room to room simply because he really seems to enjoy the company, and because he's very curious about everything going on. He is very soft spoken with quiet meows and purrs, but never fails to come running to greet you when you return home, whether you've been gone for just a few minutes or several hours!

Domino has good house manners, never missing his litter box and only scratching the cat tree, but he's still working on staying off counters. You will need to teach him your rules with a spray bottle of just plain water.

Domino would do well in a house where he has company (people and/or other pets) most of the time as he loves attention and is always in the mood for some pets or to have his long, beautiful hair brushed. If you are looking for a cat that is full of personality and acts like he's part puppy, look no further than handsome Domino!

Domino has been neutered on March 11, 2024, vaccinated with FVRCP (treats/prevents URIs, Distemper, Herpes & Rabies.) Tested for Feline Leukemia and Feline Aids and is negative. He has been estimated by a vet to be 2 years old. Flea treated monthly and dewormed twice and microchipped. We are asking for an adoption fee of $225 or BO. He will come with his medical record and delivered to your home.

This cat is offered for adoption due to the owner's personal circumstances. For more information on meeting and adopting this kitty, please fill out a pre-adoption application under 'ADOPT' on our website at WWW.CATSCRADLERESCUE.COM. Your information will be forwarded to the owner for follow-ups and meeting arrangement.

Cat's Cradle is an all-volunteer, non-profit foster-home based rescue serving Oregon cats who need new homes. 100% of your adoption fee goes to provide for the medical and physical needs of the cats in our care. We invite you to become a foster parent and experience the great satisfaction of helping a cat or kitten in need.
