Meet Deku, a charming 6-year-old neutered male Pitty weighing in at 75lbs. Despite his size, he's a gentle giant who adores kids and gets along famously with other dogs, having been tested with all sizes and living happily with two canine pals.
His heartworm, Lyme, and Anaplasmosis status are all negative, although he does deal with skin and environmental allergies. To keep him comfortable, he takes Apoquel daily and follows a special diet of Salmon Sensitive stomach food. While he's a bit reactive to new noises and might need some leash training due to his strength, he's an absolute joy on car rides, loves tug toys, and relishes tough chews.
Deku's energy level is generally low, preferring lazy days indoors, but he's always up for a good run or walk in the yard, especially since outdoor activities can make him itchy.
All in all, Deku is a loving, playful companion who would make a wonderful addition to any family willing to give him the love and care he deserves!
Deku’s adoption fee is $250.

We find loving, responsible, committed permanent homes. An in-depth adoption process is used. This includes taking considerable care in finding perfect matches and educating potential adopters about the responsibilities of bringing a dog, especially that particular dog, into their life. Applications may take several days to process and you may not hear from a UU Board member for up to a few weeks at most.

More about this rescue
Unforgettable Underdogs Dog Rescue is a volunteer run non-profit and no-kill dog rescue serving Northeast Wisconsin. We are dedicated to rescuing the underdogs, those who have found themselves homeless. We strive to help dogs in public high-kill shelters, abandoned or dogs being abused or neglected.
Dogs we care for are spayed or neutered, treated for any medical needs they have, and placed into loving foster homes until they find their permanent home. We aim to help dogs in need without discriminating against age or breed as space in foster homes permit. As our finances allow, we aim to take on the most underdog of the cases and help dogs in the most need.
