My mother got Riley 1.5yrs. ago. She has worked very hard to train him, but at 85yrs., Riley just has too much energy for her anymore. Riley is a very loving dog. He likes sitting on your lap or on th back of furniture. Riley
is energetic and when he runs he leaps like a deer. He likes toys, and will retrieve them for you.
We don't know his birthday, so she uses 7/5/22, the day we picked him up, but he was a yr. old at the time. Making him about 3yrs. old in 2024.
We did learn on that date, that he gets carsick. The vet said not to feed him before traveling. A vet can also give you a prescription. He responds well to verbal commands and hand signs. While walking, he is also trained to sit when you stop, and to sit at the curb before you cross the street.
Riley would do better in a one dog home. He does well with my sisters dogs, but unknown how he would react to others.
