My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

>>> We call Puppy Maeve Sweet Beauty! She's Betty's only black puppy, and her beauty stands out in a crowd! Maeve is a sweetheart and has been a bit more mellow than the other puppies. We've recently learned that she has a condition called a PDA (Patent Ductus Arteriosus) that will require surgical repair in a couple of months. Please visit her web page at www.campcocker.com/puppy-maeve for much more detail! PDA requires that Maeve have corrective surgery, which will take place in a couple of months, probably in June, once she's grown a little more.

Maeve won't be adopted until she's had the required surgery, which will be funded by Camp Cocker. Interested adopters in the Los Angeles area should consider a foster-to-adopt for Maeve in the meantime, with her adoption becoming finalized once she's recovered. The indicated surgery has a 95% chance of success and a normal life.

Meet Puppy Maeve! She's a Cocker Spaniel Mix, and here's a bit of her story . . .

Maeve's mama, Betty, is a Cocker Spaniel Mix who was rescued by Camp Cocker as a stray, reported by a good Samaritan. We rescued her on 2/11/24, and one week later she gave birth to her puppies!  As of April 1st,  at 6 weeks of age, Maeve weighed 4.3 pounds.

Maeve is being fostered in the Los Angeles area. She'll be available to foster-to-adopt in May, followed by adoption after she recovers from her surgery.
