Introducing Archie! He's a sweet, shy gentleman who was sadly surrendered to us when his owner could no longer care for him due to illness. He is a BIG boy so it’s a bit funny and cute to see him be timid. His foster mom calls him "gentle giant" and says he does not have an ounce of aggression in him! He does not demand affection but, when you offer it, he immediately melts into a puddle on the floor with his purr motor running like crazy and you just know you’ve made his day. Once you get started, you don’t ever want to stop rubbing his tummy! No spot is off-limits or him - he wants to be pet anywhere and everywhere! Archie is just a big softie who wants so much love, but is shy about asking for it. He would be such an amazing companion for someone looking for a pet that is deeply affectionate without being needy.

Archie is friendly and easygoing with people after he warms up to you. He's pretty chill in the presence of dogs and other cats. Archie is 4 years old. He is neutered, microchipped, up to date on vaccinations and tested FIV- and Felv-. He's more than ready for a wonderful furrever home!

Additional adoption info

Interested adopters first fill out an adoption application, after which they can visit our animals in their foster homes. If they would like to adopt and their application is approved, they then complete an adoption contract. We also ask for an adoption fee to help us continue our work.

We hold Saturday adoption events at Unleashed by Petco in Park Slope and Petsmart on Atlantic Avenue in Brooklyn (check our website and Facebook page for more information) and have cats at Bushy Tails pet store in Bushwick and Petsmart.
