My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Willow  (knows Winnie) is the most adorable female Australian cattledog mix. She is sweet and loving and a steadfast companion.  She loves getting pets and giving lots of kisses. She is friendly with all and will roll on her back immediately for anyone.  Willow is just a big cuddlebug who wants to be around her humans.

She is smart (knows tricks), loves to dance and is definitely eager to learn and please.  Willow  is great in her crate and does not make a single peep all day and night and is fully house trained.

While she gets along with all humans, she would  do best in a home with teenagers or no young kids because young kids might make her anxious.  She will need to be the only dog in her new home.  She does take anxiety medication daily.

Because she is also a cattledog mix, she will need someone who can give her lots of physical and mental stimulation.  Willow  will benefit from someone who will give her lots of love and is willing to provide her with continued training.

Additional adoption info

You are required to sign a legally binding contact on your new pet. As part of that contract, should you no longer be able to keep the animal for any reason, the animal MUST be surrendered back to SAAP. This is to ensure the animal is placed back in foster care while we secure a new approved home for the animal. However, we always try to ensure that the initial placement is best for the pet and your family. We reserve the right to refuse any adoption.

More about this rescue

We are an all-volunteer 501(c)3 non profit organization. We are dedicated to the rescue of animals that are in need of a forever home. Our animals are fostered in homes where we provide love, food, medical care and socialization until adoption into a new loving home. We educate on the importance of spaying and neutering of all pets.

We ensure all animals have been spayed or neutered prior to adoption. They are micro-chipped, up to date on shots and on heartworm and anti-flea medications (as age appropriate). They are ready and waiting to start their new life with their fur-ever family. Could that be you?

We need your help to continue our mission. We rely solely on donations and fundraisers. All donations are tax-deductible and 100% of your donation will go towards the rescue, care, and medical needs of the animals.
