On a cold, bright day, sweet Solange arrived
Belly rubs and cuddles, she would not be deprived

Her playful snaps like an alligator's grin
Her joyous barks, a playful spin.

Through the day, she's full of cheer
Playing with her toys, exploring near

At feeding time, she gobbles up
But guards her food, scared little pup

House training, she's well on her way,
Patience and practice, any day

With other dogs, she's a playful mate,
Cats, she annoys, but there's no hate

Children's laughter, her delight,
She plays with them from day to night.

Cuddles and games, she adores
In gentle corrections, she explores

In her crate, she finds her peace,
A cozy haven, her release

Soft voice of momma, or deep voice of dad
Ears up, wagging tail,
But she prefers the lad

An owner's patience, she does seek,
Just show her love, she'll reach her peak.
