My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

There’s no place like home…could you be the person to offer me one? Hi, I’m Dorothy, and I took a wrong turn off the yellow brick road. I somehow found myself at the area shelter in Lytle, Texas before SNIPSA decided to open its doors to me. Skinny, dirty and in heat, it’s safe to say that I arrived in pretty rough shape. The vet team went ahead and “fixed” me, administered vaccines/preventatives and dolled me up so I could impress a potential adopter. In a 24-hour turnover, I am feeling much better and my magical personality is starting to show. I have revealed myself as the type of dog to get along with anyone and everything…even cats! A curious, happy girl, I like to walk around and say hi to everybody in the room before settling down at someone’s feet. And if I really like you, I’ll offer you a full-body hug or a love nibble! I am quickly getting the hang of walking on my leash, too, according to my foster family. I was the on my best behavior in the car ride to their house and quickly showed off my “sit” when they offered me treats. If you are seeking a small, well-behaved dog to cuddle, don’t leave me tapping my heels! Apply to meet me!
