My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Adoptable in: MA, RI, NH, CT, and VT

Good with dogs: Yes, with proper intros
Good with cats: Yes, dog-savvy cats
Good with kids: Yes, older dog-savvy kids
Crate trained: Yes
House trained: Yes

Maggye Moo is a lovable, funny gal who is ready to join many adventures with you! She is doing well adjusting to northern life, her foster shares, “Maggye is a spirited gal who is the life of the party. She can be your go-to buddy for hiking and activities- the possibilities are endless. Maggye would make a great addition to any home who’s excited to continue her training and show her the world!”

Maggye is a medium-high energy gal who loves to play fetch and romp around the yard but then is ready to cuddle on the couch by her humans. She gets along well with other dogs and is still learning to take cues, so she’d be fine with another canine sibling in the home with a bit of space and time to get to know them. She has been neutral with cats, so she’d likely be fine with a dog-savvy cat in the home. As Maggye is a typical puppy and learning boundaries, she would likely be fine with older, dog-savvy kids.

She is a smart girl, as she knows several commands including ‘sit’ and ‘place’. Maggye is crate trained and housetrained. She can be crated occasionally in the day after sufficient exercise, and sleeps in there overnight without any issues. Maggye is housetrained with no accidents in the past few weeks and will continue to do well when taken out on a regular structure and routine. She is improving on her leash skills and enjoys her daily walks. Maggye will thrive with a patient owner who can uphold structure and boundaries to set her up for success as she navigates her new environment.

Maggye’s zest for life and beautiful green eyes will have you falling in love in no time- is she the one for you?

More about this rescue

Our mission at Last Hope K9 Rescue is to save every possible dog we can from being euthanized within high-volume kill shelters throughout the U.S.

As the literal “last hope” of nearly every animal we serve, we work tirelessly to place each one within a stable, loving environment that can act as either their forever home, or the gateway to their forever home. We also strive to ensure that all of our adoptions and foster placements are the optimal fit for everyone involved, including our dogs. This leads to our second goal: enriching human lives through canine companionship. To us, you can’t have one without the other.

Lastly, we promote animal welfare by lobbying important initiatives that both protect and give voice to the voiceless. By fostering an environment of collaboration with other organizations that share our goals, and working together instead of in competition, we find that we accomplish more.
