My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Pepper VI, a resilient 41 lb, 1-year-old female lab mix with a heart of gold. With the eyes of a gorgeous land seal, this grey and white brindle love blob is on the hunt for her forever home. Complete with her lil white streak down her nose and a tail that does not stop, who could resist a face like that?! Slated for euthanasia due to bad hips and an estimated poor quality of life, Pepper's foster mom stepped in and 'adopted' her, vowing to help rehabilitate at Pepper's pace. She just got over an Upper Respiratory Infection that lingered for a bit, giving us quite a scare but thankfully she has recovered and is focusing on the next steps for continued comfort. She is currently up to date on all shots, spayed, microchipped, and takes her daily joint supplements like a champ. She will be having surgery soon to help alleviate her hips pressure and give the leg a fighting chance since she is so young and has a true shot of a better life. Her love for adventure is contagious, evident in her playful demeanor and affectionate nature. Not only does she thrive on human companionship, but she also adores the company of other dogs, making her the perfect addition to any loving home. Not kid tested but I'm sure she'd get along famously with humans of any size or caliber with proper introductions. Unsure of kitties at this time, but she doesn't seem to have a prey drive. Pepper's ideal home would need to have a semi-active lifestyle, lover of dogs, a nice yard, and maybe a fellow fur sibling to play with. She may have her medical issues, but her perfect family is totally reading this right now and has already fallen in love with her. If you're ready to open your heart to a courageous and loving companion, Pepper is waiting to shower you with endless cuddle sessions, kisses and devotion. Adopt Pepper today and embark on a journey filled with love, laughter, and unforgettable memories! * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * If you have a specific question about Pepper VI, then please email newdigs@dallaspetsalive.org.
