My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Please go to our website at www.milehighlabmission.com to find out more about this pet and to submit an adoption application.

Please DO NOT call or email us; all information about current dogs available, adoption donations, vetting, and this specific dog are on our website.

We are a non-profit organization and we are completely 100% volunteer run.

We DO NOT have a shelter and only approved applicants can make appointments with our foster homes to meet the dogs we have.

Our volunteers will not discuss dogs we have available for adoption UNTIL you have an application on file and are approved to adopt.

General Notes

I am a big goofy ball of love and I don’t want much more than to best your pal and sidekick.   I will promise to always be at your side and tell you I love you with these huge brown eyes and these big, soft, gentle paws

I don’t mess up the house or pee on your shoes or climb the counters or chew your flippie floppies.   I will drop my big head in your lap or lay on your whole body to keep you safe.  I also purr and huff when you’re holding me and keeping safe.   It's a beautiful low rumble and it'll make you smile so much..

I’m a good boy… mostly lazy so I’m sure you’ll like that.  I love eating and hope you shares thems snacks with me cause I’m right here waiting.

I’ve been learning all the good manners at Uncle Pablo’s.  All the verbal queues are being learned.  WAIT, OuttttaTheKitchen, Go Lay Down, Come here are all sinking in.  I’m super trainable and will aim to please you.

I like doing yoga with you, stretching out, and getting my belly rub…It’s ZEN!

I’m sad cause I’m waiting patiently for you.

If you’re reading in bed???   Peease may I come up there.  No!?! Are you sure…okay I go lays over heres…but I’ll try again later.  If you let me ups I am the bestest snuggler who ever snuggled.   Seriously.

Health Notes | Clyde is fully vetted, neutered, and heartworm negative.

Other Dogs | Clyde was dog tested at the shelter and was happy to play with other dogs, matching their energy--low or high.  Clyde is staying with Nico the Great and Cora tha Explora and there hasn't been a single issue.  I've been in bed with both, and in the kitchen for dinner time with both.

Cats | Unknown

Children | Clyde absolutely loves children.   He first lived wtih a 3 and 7 year old sisters. He is super affectionate and loves giving them kisses. He is not rambunctious and does not jump or knock them over. He lovingly accepts all their pets / hugs and seems comfortable in a loud environment with kiddos running and jumping around.

Training | I'm super food motivated so I'm so easy to train.  I've learned sit, go lay down, wait for food.  Backup up....I don't need much and I'm such a good boy I'll fall right into your way.

Leash | Clyde loves walks and can sometimes be so eager that he pulls on the leash. Overall his walk behavior is very well-mannered.

Activity Level | Clyde is very low energy when he gets a short daily walk.

Personality | Clyde is a calm and affectionate boy who loves pets and giving kisses. He is easy-going and has adapted to his foster home quickly. He loves to be near his people and happy to just nap in a cozy spot most of the day!

Story | Clyde was found as a stray in Roswell, New Mexico. He seems like he has lived in a home before.

Thank you!

Adoption Donations |  Our adoption donations are $475 for dogs 8 weeks to 1 year, $425 for 1-6 years, $375 for dogs 7-10 years, and $250 for 11+ years of age. Purebred dogs regardless of age are $525. These minimum donations help to defer the costs of initial vet care, food, and supplies while in foster care that currently average over $700 per dog).

Meeting Dogs | Foster dogs may have meet & greets by appointment to approved applicants only.  To become an approved applicant - please complete the application process.

Please know | Available dogs are updated as soon as possible and we do our best to keep it up-to-date, but occasionally dogs shown may become unavailable without notice due to a pending adoption.

We encourage you to put in an application even if you don't see your new family member currently, as once you are approved, we can place you on the waiting list for first priority on the selection of the dogs we do bring in. That means you can often meet a dog upon transport arrival and adopt before they even make it to this page!

We can not guarantee that a dog you wish to adopt is available by the time your adoption application is submitted, processed, and approved.  Your application is good for 90 days from the time of approval for any dog as long as it is a good fit for your family and your lifestyle.
