What is Rehome?
If you see pets listed by a private owner, it means that they’re adoptable through Adopt a Pet’s Rehome program – the safe and reliable way to find a loving new home for your pet.
Sadie is an incredibly sweet, affectionate 4-year-old Sheperd mix (29lbs). We adopted her as an 8-week-old puppy from Family Dog Rescue in June 2020 and like many pandemic puppies, she is a timid dog who takes time to adjust to new people and surroundings. We already had an older 12-pound poodle mix when we adopted Sadie. While they seemed to get along well while Sadie was a puppy, the last couple of years has led to increased friction.
Sadie has benefitted from working with a trainer and knows multiple commands. At times, she can be a bit reactive to some dogs when walking on leash, but generally does well and follows our training techniques.
She sleeps in her crate at night and is comfortable spending time in her pen. She would do great in a single pet household with no children. She goes on walks/runs, loves to chew and to play with her toys. She is a very sweet dog and we are heartbroken to rehome her.
We will gladly provide her bed, crate, pen and toys.
