Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Asta, a lovely 4-year-old Coonhound, American English Mix who's ready to find her forever home! Asta is a sweet girl with a heart of gold, and she may be a little shy at first. But once she gets to know you and realizes she can trust you, she becomes incredibly affectionate and loyal.
She's the type of dog who will always be by your side, offering comfort and companionship whenever you need it most. Despite her initial shyness, Asta has a curious and playful side that shines through once she feels comfortable in her surroundings. She loves exploring new places and enjoys engaging in fun activities with her human friends.
Asta would make a wonderful addition to any family looking for a loyal and devoted companion. If you're ready to open your heart and home to a special dog who just needs a little extra love and patience, consider adopting Asta today!
Asta will need an indoor home and a secure containment area to stay safe from wandering and escaping. Positive reinforcement, fear-free training will be needed. Daily exercise and mental enrichment will be very important. If you have other dogs in your home, we would be happy to arrange a meet and greet with your dog(s) to make sure everyone gets along.
Asta is up to date on vaccines, microchipped, spayed, and ready to go home today.
The shelter is currently open by appointment only. Fill out an application to schedule an appointment today!
