My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

King Rusty was a gift from my husband. I flew to Missouri to meet my husband to pick up my "special gift". When we arrived at the breeder, I saw King and changed my mind. His big, beautiful eyes locked onto mine. When I inquired about him, the breeder explained that King would be staying with her. He had not been sold. He was equivalent to the runt of the litter; instead of being the smallest one, he was the largest one. All of the other pups in his litter could all lay along his side. He was too adorable to be left. I asked if i could take him instead!

That was 14 years ago. My preteen sons fell in love with him when I returned home as did everyone else that have met him over the years. King has been my best friend, my confidant.

About a year ago, I notice King's rear end swaying as he walked. It slowly progressed but I was convinced it was because of the new hardwoods. Now he can stand but has no control. I cannot afford a wheelchair so his care is overwhelming after 14 hour days
