Meet Keys, the gentle girl with a heart of gold, whose resilience shines brighter than a sunny day. Named for her striking black and white coat, reminiscent of piano keys, Keys is as unique as her namesake. At about 4 years old and tipping the scales at 85 pounds, Keys commands attention with her imposing presence, but it's her sweet and gentle nature that truly sets her apart. Despite her challenging past, Keys' spirit remains unbroken, a testament to her unwavering strength. Keys' journey began in Riverside, California, where she was rescued from a hoarding case involving over 35 American Bulldogs. Despite the trauma she endured, Keys' capacity for love knows no bounds, and she greets each day with a wagging tail and a gentle soul. Visible scars on her body bear witness to the challenges Keys has faced in her past. Yet, despite the physical reminders of her past, Keys harbors no resentment, only a boundless capacity for love and forgiveness. Keys' gentle nature, hilarious antics and loving disposition make her a favorite among Retired to Rescue. With her soulful eyes and goofy personality, Keys has the power to melt even the coldest of hearts and bring joy to all who meet her. Keys has been in rescue since January and has been waiting her whole life for her true forever home.

Additional adoption info
Once you see the pup of your dreams you fill out an adoption application:
https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSeXPNq9voBZT2E0wYyxf240a7qdVNNoTfdL1dIAx-UpcoLy5A/viewform
Once approved, we will reach out to you to set up an "interview" but really more of a chat. If after our chat we agree to try a meet we schedule a meet and greet at your home. If the meet goes well the one week trial begins.
If after the week trial all parties agree to proceed with adoption, final adoption application is signed, adoption fee is paid and the pups medical records and microchip are transferred.
Even if after the official trial the adoption is not a great fit for any reason we will always accept dogs back under our rescue.
