My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Cali is a beautiful, big-eyed girl. Unfortunately, she came from an overcrowded house and became pregnant at an extremely young age. Cali had no interest in being a mom (through no fault of her own -- she was just a baby herself). Just before being rescued, two of Cali's babies passed away, and a third was placed with a surrogate mother (and she is thriving).

Cali is starting to trust and appreciate individual attention, something she has yet to experience during her short life. She is enjoying playing with toys and is very wet food-motivated. Cali is a quiet, docile girl who would benefit from living with a confident, social kitty friend who can continue showing her the good life.

Cali was born around September 24, 2023. She is currently being fostered in Naugatuck. She is fixed, is up-to-date on shots, is microchipped and tested neg for FIV/FeLV*.

All of our cats and kittens are cared for in loving foster homes. "Meet and greets" can be arranged only after an application has been submitted and approved.

We do not adopt out of the state of Connecticut. We do not adopt to families with children under 5 years of age, no exceptions.

We are a foster based rescue. All our cats reside in private homes. A meet-and-greet can be arranged for approved adopters only.

Additional adoption info

The first step in our adoption process is for you to fill out an adoption application which can be found on our website, www.fosterandforever.org. If all is well on your application, we will contact you about setting up a home visit by one of our staff members.

****Please give your vet permission to release information to us as we check references.

The adoption fee for our cats covers the cost of spaying/neutering, age appropriate routine vaccinations, deworming, snap test, and flea preventive treatment. Some of our older cats are at a reduced price in order to encourage placement in a permanent home.

Foster and Forever Pet Rescue Inc, is a registered 501 (c) (3) non-profit rescue that was founded in 2011. We have been working since then to improve the lives of abandoned, abused and homeless animals by serving as an umbrella under which foster homes will provide care for homeless animals until loving permanent homes can be found.

We provide spay/neuter services, all necessary medical care, as well as food and supplies and more and find foster homes to care for the animals we rescue until we are able to find them forever homes.
