My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Walker, the adorable black Border Collie-Shepherd mix puppy who's ready to steal your heart! At just 3.5 months old, Walker is already proving to be a bright spark in his foster home. With his striking black fur and soulful eyes, he's a handsome little guy with intelligence to match. True to his Border Collie heritage, Walker is incredibly smart. He's a quick learner, already mastering basic commands like sitting for treats and making impressive progress with house training. This pup is eager to please and loves nothing more than showing off his new skills. Despite his young age, Walker is quite adaptable. He's happy to settle down for the night in his cozy wire crate and doesn't mind being alone for short periods while his foster mom is away. But when she's around, he's all about snuggles and affection, soaking up every moment of love and attention. Walker has a zest for life, especially when it comes to outdoor adventures. He's a sunshine enthusiast, reveling in the warmth of the Colorado sun and enjoying every opportunity to bask in its glory. Whether it's romping around with his foster dog sister or taking leisurely naps in the shade, Walker knows how to make the most of his surroundings. While he may be a bit shy in new situations, Walker's curiosity and eagerness to explore shine through. His forever family will play a crucial role in helping him build confidence and socialize with the world around him. With patience, love, and plenty of positive experiences, Walker is sure to blossom into a well-rounded companion. In return for his forever family's dedication, Walker promises unwavering loyalty and a lifetime of companionship. He's ready to embark on new adventures, learn new skills, and most importantly, form a deep bond with his forever family. Are you ready to welcome this bright-eyed pup into your home? Walker can't wait to meet you!

Training a puppy is an essential and rewarding process that helps foster a strong bond between you and your furry friend while establishing good behavior and habits. Consider enrolling you and your new puppy in training classes. These can provide structured guidance and socialization opportunities. Remember that each puppy is unique, and training methods may need to be adjusted based on their personality, breed, and individual needs. Building a positive and loving relationship with your puppy through training will lead to a happy and well-behaved adult dog.

More about this rescue

Circle 2 Animal Rescue is a non-profit, no-kill 501c3 rescue organization dedicated to rescuing homeless, abused and abandoned animals. By working with committed volunteers, foster homes, and local veterinarians, we are able to rescue animals in need, providing them with loving care, and placing them in well-matched, carefully screened permanent homes. We are dedicated to rescuing dogs and horses where they are at risk of euthanasia due to overpopulation, left abused, alone and homeless. Animals in our care are spayed or neutered and receive all appropriate veterinary care and treatment. We assist animals in distress without regard to age, breed or ease of placement.
