Izzey is a young female dog who is as adorable as she is friendly! We think she is about 1 year old. She is a very affectionate and gentle dog who loves nothing more than receiving kisses and giving sweet cuddles to those she loves. Izzey came to us from a neglect situation and was surrendered to our shelter for proper care. Despite this rocky start to her life, she is a very friendly girl who loves people. She is a smart dog who already knows how to sit and give a paw. Izzey would suit a family who has plenty of time to spend with her - she is a very people-oriented dog who loves to be the center of attention! She is looking for a family who will never leave her wanting for anything again - could that be with you? If you want a cuddly best friend who will stick by your side, Izzey is the perfect pup for you! Izzey lived with another dog and has shown to be fine with dogs here. She can go to a home with children 8 years old and older.

Meriden Animal Control IS OPEN 7 DAYS A WEEK (M-F 8-4pm) (Sat-Sun 10-4pm) Applications must be submitted and approved BEFORE a meet and greet can be scheduled to meet an animal. Appts to meet dogs can made to suit your schedule, please email/call for an appt. We do prefer to be contacted by email for adoption inquiries at Adopt@savingpawsct.org. You must be 21 years of age to adopt with valid ID. There is a short application for adoption, however if you do not own your home, or you own a condo, we must speak with your landlord or housing association giving permission to dogs/cats. Bully breed specific permission is required if you rent or own a condo. If you own your home, proof of home ownership is required. If there are other pets in the home they must be licensed (if a dog) and up to date on vaccinations. If there is another dog in the home a dog interaction must be done at the shelter before adoption, to ensure the safety and well being of all pets. All children in the home need to be declared and brought down to meet the animal.

An approved application does not guarantee an adoption. We do not hold animals for meet and greet appointments.
ALL ANIMALS ARE SPAYED AND NEUTERED BEFORE THEY GO HOME.
