My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Looking for a small load up, hang out, “do anything” dog that’s also incredibly cute? Meet Pinky winky!

Pinky is around a 1 year old and we think she is a pitbull terrier but with rescue there’s no guarantee. Pinky is 39 pounds of pure happy wiggles! Pinky is partially or fully deaf, though you wouldn’t know it unless you were told from how smart and in tune she is with you.
Her foster mom reports she loves to sit under the piano near her feet while she plays. She believes Pinky can feel the vibrations. Isn’t that adorable!?

She is full of zoomies and excels at navigating new environments. She doesn’t mind changes in schedule or scenery as long as she’s by your side she’s content.

Pinky’s love language is booty scratches, snuggles and receiving gifts. One of the cutest things we love about her is the silly mischief she enjoys! She gets really excited with stuffies and tennis balls and before you can turn around to give them to her, she’s already ran off with them shaking her booty in triumph!

Pinky had no problems meeting a feline friend and just wanted to play but didn’t know where to find the “GO” button on him. Silly cat! She took one swat like a champ and then kept her distance after. Though she did great in this interaction, we do not know if she has ever lived with cats nor can we guarantee that things won’t change in the home. We do believe that with slow and proper introductions she can coexist in a home with cats.

Pinky really enjoys playing with other dogs, particularly those with her same rough and rowdy play style! She is a high energy goofball who would thrive in a home with a yard so she can run out her zoomies anytime she feels the urge. Pinky does well with respecting other dogs, boundaries, and is able to take breaks on her own between play.

When introduced to kids, she lit up immediately, and was very gentle on the couch, taking treats and making sure their faces were thoroughly kissed! She even offered to share her stuffies with her new small friends, how sweet of her!

Home life is a breeze with Pinky. To our knowledge she is crate trained and potty trained but may need a reminder about where the appropriate potty places are once in a home. Pinky is eager to please and is treat motivated with a built in “auto sit” staff praise her for often.

When on leash she is just as excited as ever to see people and fellow four legged friends. We are confident with what she’s shown us so far, she will nail leash walking in no time! Pinky has never met a stranger, at least to her knowledge. She loves everyone she meets and we all feel the same. We are willing to test this precious dog with anything you need us to in order to ensure it’s the perfect match for you! We can make anything happen! Just let us know.

The stray and animal overpopulation in the Greater Houston area is one of the highest in the nation. Statistics show that there are over 1 million homeless animals in this region alone! Three Little Pitties Rescue is a nonprofit dog and cat rescue that partners with the community to make a difference. Our mission is to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and saving all breeds of dogs and cats from the streets or animal shelters that oftentimes have no choice but to euthanize animals for space. We prepare them for adoption by properly vetting and providing individualized care through our incredible behavior program that consists of socialization and leash training for all animals that enter our adoption program prior to matching them with loving families who will treasure them for the rest of their lives. They are rescue dogs and will require continued training efforts once adopted, but will be well on their way to being the best dogs that they can be!

Three Little Pitties Rescue will soon be celebrating our 5 year anniversary! Over the course of this time, we have been very fortunate for so much growth, allowing us to further connect with the community and save many lives. Through the combined efforts of all of our hardworking staff and volunteers, we have placed over 10,000 very lucky dogs and cats into amazing homes! By adopting from us, you save TWO lives! The pet you adopt, and you create an opportunity for another animal to be brought into our rescue program. Together, we can be heroes.
