My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Hela Belle! She is an active and playful young pup that craves all of the attention! She loves to cuddle, play fetch and tug of war, and watch the neighbors out of the window. Stuffed animals don't stand a chance but rope and strong rubber toys are the best. She does not understand personal space so expect lots of love!! She gets along with other dogs, not sure about cats. She would definitely benefit from a house with a fenced in yard where she can run and meet her physical demands! Hela Belle is still learning how big she is and how to play, so a house with small children might not be the best fit. Hela Belle is working on potty training and her mouthy-ness during play time. She does well in the crate but much rather to stay out and be with you! She is eager to please and has a high food drive, which helps with the training process.

The process is quite simple! Please stop by and see for yourself. All animals are spayed/neutered, dewormed, vaccinated, and microchipped prior to going home.

Go meet their pets

Meet our pets at the shelter Tuesday - Friday from 12pm
m to 6pm, Saturday 10am to 6pm, Sunday 10am-3pm. Appointments available Tuesday-Friday mornings with an adoption specialist.

More about this shelter

We are a non-profit open intake shelter that serves all of East Baton Rouge parish. We strive to improve the lives of abandoned, unwanted and abused animals in our parish. We house approximately 400 animals at any given time. We take in 20-30 new animals a day. We are always in need of fosters both short and long term, donations, and volunteers.
