My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Sophia!

A long-term resident of our shelter, Sophia is looking for the perfect forever home! She will need to be the only cat in the household.

Sophia is as cuddly as they come, far more than your average cat. Even when she is meeting new people for the first time, her instinct is generally to curl up in their lap first and foremost. She has a ridiculously easy time making new friends with people. She loves cheek and chin rubs and will quickly melt into pets.

She unfortunately has had on and off diarrhea for a large portion of her life and this will likely continue. This has caused infrequent accidents where she doesn't quite make it to the litter box, although this isn't super common. We believe it is a dietary/bacterial issue so she'll need to be on a hydrolyzed protein/allergenic diet her whole life. It's important that Sophia's forever family be financially comfortable enough to support those additional costs.

Kind and attentive, she likes to be in whatever room her humans are in and enjoys curling up in laps. Her favorite toys include simple things like tin foil balls, ribbons, and empty tissue paper boxes. Sophia is a very chatty girl and is always very careful with her claws when playing. She is also polydactyl (has 6 toes on her front paw)!

Come on down and meet this chatty bundle of love!
