My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Betty Boop is so lucky to have made it to the shelter to change her path. She was found as a stray and this 37 lb underweight darling girl seems to have been making babies for a while. This is no longer her future! This beautiful girl has the personality of an angel. So far, we have learned that she LOVES everybody and the shelter states she is dog friendly. She wanted to meet the fosters cat, but the cat said, nope, not today. However, Betty Boop’s tail was wagging the whole time!  She is going to be someone’s jackpot love bug baby!! The foster has already learned in 24 hours that she is potty and kennel trained.  Does not bark or whine.  Walks failry good on a leash.  Enjoys car rides and LOVES people!

Two weeks after intake Betty Boop, affectionately known as Boopers, has put on some much needed weight.  Guestimating 45 and climbing. She absolutley loves play time with other dogs. She loves as mentioned all people but she is going to be too much for small children.  She is a strong girl and we are working on leash manners and jumping.  She just loves everything and everyone and especially a tennis ball.

Rescue Row is a 501(c)3 (non-profit) all volunteer dog rescue organization serving the DFW Metroplex. We are dedicated to rescuing dogs in shelters, dogs in abusive or neglectful situations, and dogs surrendered by their owners because of difficult circumstances. We place dogs in loving, responsible, committed permanent homes, following a comprehensive adoption process, which includes taking considerable care in finding good matches and educating prospective adopters about the responsibilities and costs of bringing a dog into their homes and lives. Dogs in our care are spayed or neutered, microchipped, receive all appropriate veterinary care and treatment, and placed in nurturing foster homes while they await placement in their permanent homes. We assist dogs in distress without regard to age, breed or ease of placement. Dogs in the greatest need take priority. Finally, we strive to work with shelters and other rescue and humane organizations to develop a network of supporters and volunteers in order to create a better world for homeless dogs.
