Winnie is both beautiful and sweet. She is estimated to be about 7 years old and weighs about 65 pounds.
Winnie came in to our local shelter as a stray in January 2024. She was extremely emaciated, weighing only 37 pounds. And had horrible skin. She was also heartworm positive.
Winnie has gained a healthy 30 pounds and her heartworm treatment is complete. She is now ready to find a home of her own.
Winnie is extremely sweet and friendly with everyone she meets. Both dogs and people. We believe she was kept as an outside dog. She is strong on a leash and pulls a little. She is doing great with being housebroken, but does have accidents here and there.
Winnie's ideal home would have a large, fenced yard as she loves to RUN!! She is an active dog and would love an active family. She does great with other dogs, but a submissive friend would work best for her. One that will give her space when she needs it and leaves her alone when she's sleeping.
