I'm still learning how to walk on a leash, but I'm getting better every day. I can be a bit timid at first, but I promise I'm worth the patience. He did very well walking on a leash (when we would stop he definitely wanted to be close to his person and jump up to give kisses, but this just speaks to how much he loves everybody that he meets), and he enjoys a long walk. He was interested in other people, but wasn't aggressive about approaching, and walked by another dog without any issues. Rooster was very interested in all of the smells of nature. He loves treats, and is very gentle when taking them. To adopt a pet from the SPCA of Texas, we not only help make love connections, but we then walk you through an adoption process that is geared to ensuring you and the pet are a great match. There is a contract to sign at the end of the process. Adoption fees are as follows:
Puppies 0-6 months: $150
Adult dogs 6 months or older: $75

The adoption fee includes age-appropriate vaccinations (which can include Rabies, Distemper, Hepatitis, Parvo, Parainfluenza and Bordetella), spay/neuter surgery, deworming treatment, initial heartworm preventative, a rabies tag, Free health examination within fourteen days of the adoption thanks to our partnership with VCA Animal Hospitals, a leash and a microchip. Dogs over 6 months of age are also given a heartworm test (SNAP occult). Free week of training through Good Pup.
Kittens: $150
Cats: $75
